The Section DUX Development Center delivers the Digital UX, HMI-/Interaction solution for both ongoing car project and advanced engineering projects. The section consists of about 55 employees. Examples of roles are User Experience and Interaction designers, Usability specialists, HMI SW Developers, Technical leaders and Project leaders.

The open position is as a DUX Lab SW & HW system responsible that will have the technical responsibility for the DUX/HMI Facility, simulator and test vehicles. Within the group Advanced Engineering & Research you are a part of the prototype and HMI/UX Lab team and will be responsible for HW/SW data technology and electronics solutions for our tests objects.
As a part of our HMI SW Development team, you will be one of two who will have the technical responsibility for the Lab environment. You have competence and knowledge in electronics/mechatronics, data technology and automation.

There is opportunities to develop in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries together with and by collaboration with your colleagues within and outside the group. You will also build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D and other Lab-, vehicles- and simulator facilities. We are looking for someone with strong technical competence and high social skills to join us in creating the next generation premium cars with a world-leading User Experience and HMI.
Main responsibilities

* Be the main responsible to integrate and implement prototype solutions into demonstrators, demo cars and simulator environment
* Connect software prototypes to a driver display and make it work together with the vehicle's existing systems (e.g. speedometer, rev counter and cruise control utilizing CAN-/LIN-/Flexray signals) to our simulation lab and PC environment (Qt / Axure / Simulink etc.) As well take the initiative to develop and construct control boxes or other interfaces with electronics / circuit boards
* Maintain and develop the driving simulation software
* Develop and improve the technical environment both from a software and hardware perspective for the DUX Lab, tests and demo cars.

Required qualifications

* Technical University Degree or equivalent work experience
* Minimum university education two years vocational Engineering - Electricity, Electronics, -Mechatronics, data- & information technology and automation
* Knowledge in front-end and back-end environment
* Embedded Linux and networking, e.g. TCP/IP, UDP and CAN
* Experience and interest to build low fidelity prototypes for demonstrator with HW, SW and components is meritorious.
* Experience from software and hardware development, preferably within automotive industry is meritorious. Programming skills in e.g. QT / QML and C++, but also html5 and JavaScript
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Driver's license (B-level)
