The department Battery & Charging Controls is responsible for the development of major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. The group SW Release and Integration build and deliver SW for the on-board charger (OBC) and the DC/DC converters in our electrified vehicles.
The on-board charger is essential for electrified vehicles, it holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle. The DC/DC converters enable energy flow from the traction battery to the low-voltage system.

What will you do? 
In the SW release and Integration team we need to further strengthen our Integration skills.
As a SW Integration Architect, you need to take an active role in understanding the software and coaching the team on the where and how to implement new functionalities or improve the software to have a good maintainable, scalable, and reusable structure. It is important to interact with Volvo internal teams and suppliers about software design solutions.
We will expect you to collaborate with system designers and define appropriate interfaces with other nodes and support the integration of other SW into our ECU.

Do you fit the profile? 
We believe that you have at least a B. Sc. degree within engineering, preferably power electronics, embedded system, or equivalent competence. 
On top on this, you have some years´ experience from SW integration work within the automotive industry.
•    Experience on how to develop complex embedded systems that are maintainable and scalable
•    Knowledge of power electronics, especially on-board charger functionality
•    Knowledge of charging standards
•    Experience with DaVinci software
•    Experience of product development within the automotive industry
•    Experience on how to develop complex embedded systems that are maintainable and scalable
•    Knowledge of power electronics, especially on-board charger functionality
•    Knowledge of charging standards
•    CANoe/CANalyzer and INCA
•    GIT, SVN.

As a Software Architect you need to be very familiar with the RTE, autosar ports and scheduling
On top on this, you have some years’ experience with Autosar defined interfaces, NVRAM, DEM, PNC and other “Basic Software” modules.

In this role, you need to be structured, data driven and have excellent analyzing and documentation skills. 

You are also used to corporate and communicate with people since this is a large part of the role. 
Other traits that we appreciate is integrity, courage, and energy. 

We are a global company so a must for us is that you are fluent in English. 

You will be part of a team working closely together, supporting each other. The team is working in an agile setup, so you will be expected to take part in planning activities and be responsible for planning your own deliveries, with the support of our operational Product Owner and the Scrum Master.
