92200 Quality & Launch is a shared service within the Product Stream Vehicle Platform (VP). We support ARTs and Teams throughout the whole product life cycle from concept development phase to running production – always with the end customer in focus.
The responsibility of Quality & Launch department is to strengthen the VP deliveries by supporting with quality assurance expertise in early phase, support flawless launch and manage quality issues from the field. The team consist of employees situated in Gothenburg and in all our plants worldwide.

Vehicle Platform Forward Quality team is adding a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SWQA) to enhance focus on SW Quality Assurance for improved product quality. The position is located at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you will do
Working as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer within Vehicle Platform includes:
• Supplier evaluation
• Supplier Software approval
• In-house SW quality assurance
• Train internal teams to perform supplier software reviews
• Defining Software related processes and Way of Working
You and your skills
• We see that you have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Documented experience from working with ASPICE.
• Good understanding of what various SW disciplines consists of, e.g. procurement/contracting of software, requirement management, SW design, SW integration testing, configuration management, SW Approval and related SW work products/documents.
• Knowledge of how safety aspects in ISO 26262 and Cyber Security is integrated in the SW development.
• You are a self-managed team player able to work flexibly in a cross-functional agile environment.
• You have a strong interest in driving improvement initiatives.
• You are supportive, customer focused, proactive and analytical.
• You are fluent in English, spoken and written.
On a personal level you are easy-going and open-minded with strong verbal and communication skills and willingness to share knowledge and experiences.
