Responsibilities / Main tasks


The Powertrain Engineering Sweden organization has the full worldwide Product platform responsibility for Heavy Duty Engines and transmission. It is as well responsible for the installation of Heavy duty powertrains in European Volvo Products. The Driveline department is responsible to deliver a complete transmission/driveline system for both conventional powertrains as for electrified drivelines.
As SW verification leader, you will have an important role in the development of new transmission control features, functions and solutions, for both conventional and electrified drivetrains. You will be part of the Transmission Product Team, a group of approximately 15 highly skilled and experienced individuals with a collective responsibility to lead the development of future products as well as maintaining existing products. The department applies an agile framework way of working.
Your main responsibilities will be to lead, coordinate and plan the concrete verification activities related to specific transmission ECU SW releases, and to lead the development of new verification methods, including both the in-vehicle testing but also automated tests in a virtual environment.

Skills and knowledge:
Skilled in leading verification activities in the automotive industry
Basic understanding of principles of in vehicle verification and validation.
Driveline product knowledge and understanding of expected truck behavior.
Good knowledge in automated function test, unit tests and software system test.
Understanding of how functional safety standards affects the SW verification process.
Understanding the SW design & verification process for a complete delivery.
Knows the agile principles and wow in an agile organization, including tools such as JIRA, Confluence etc.
Ability to drive a team to investigate and execute a technical update, with time and budget constraints.
Strong collaboration skills are required

Programming skills in C, python, Matlab, Target link or Ascet, as well as knowledge in model-based best practices and understanding of Embedded SW development, is an advantage.


Experience:
5 years or more of experience in automotive verification, SW development or project management.
You are holding a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or higher.
You have a proven experience of project management or team leadership
You are well experienced in operating in a global environment.
