OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
A Moderator is responsible for ensuring the discussion in an interview or a focus group runs smoothly, following the client guideline. In order to do this a moderator needs to come well prepared for an interview. A Moderator should be aware of the non-verbal signals the respondents give, meaning they must have good listening and awareness skills. Furthermore, the moderator must be trusted by the client, and should remain neutral as to not alter the opinions of the participants. It is key to understand the purpose of the project and what questions the clients want an answer to.
Your tasks will depend on the project need and may include to transcribe, translate materials, write reports, conduct desk research, and identify relevant respondents for a study. The role includes responsibility of quality control and internal training regarding interviews and deliverables. 
You will also assist project managers by reporting daily results of the above-described tasks for assigned projects in our internal- system.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES
FIELDWORK

• Lead focus groups and individual interviews (IDIs) with diverse audiences. You will moderate groups and one-on-one sessions online and hopefully sometime soon in-person with everyone from consumers and patients to medical specialists, IT professionals, and policy elites, but pharma is a big focus of what you’ll work on.
• The moderation online can be either via webcam on platforms or using chat groups or forums where questions are being posted regularly. 
• Preparing yourself for interviews – participating in briefings, conducting desk research, read up about the topic, testing platforms, making sure all technicalities are in place and you have all the documents and contact details you need
• Engage and energize participants and back-room clients. You will use your energy, presence, humor, and a little theater to keep participants and observers engaged and focused.
• Complete all administrative tasks surrounding interviews in a timely manner: uploading and labelling of sound files, self-completion sheets, consent forms, reporting of who has completed etc. 
• Complete reports, analysis and transcripts for the interviews assigned to you within the requested timeline
• Translate questionnaires and discussion guides from English to Swedish
• Proofreading and quality control of interviews and deliverables from both internal and external parties. 
• Communicating and sharing information with Project Assistants and Project Managers throughout the project life cycle. 
• If necessary, you also help with the recruitment of healthcare professionals and patients for our projects.
• Work together with our Project Managers to ensure that the result is of the highest quality.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year’ experience with moderating 
Must possess strong writing and analytical skills
Must be able to establish and maintain positive and professional relationship with Colleagues and Clients.
Analyzes situations & responds quickly to deliver effective solutions.
Works effectively individually and in a team environment;
Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, self-reliant and possess a self-starting approach to meet job responsibilities and accountabilities.
Should possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
 
Additional Qualifications
Report writing skills
Maintains a “Can do” attitude and participates in joint problem solving
Moderating in the healthcare industry
Experience moderating in another language than Swedish is a plus
