Passion for Energy
Uniper likes passionate employees and colleagues. Driven by passion, we ensure high-quality deliveries of electricity to industrial and domestic customers – every second of the day, all year round. With personal commitment, dialog, diversity and equality at work, we work together to deliver social benefit in real time – while simultaneously focusing innovative efforts on tomorrow’s solutions. Or as we say: “Passion for Energy.” We need people who are passionate about energy and want to make a difference. Are you one of them?
The Uniper Way - How we work
Our employees pave the way for Uniper’s success and future. We work together and engage in meaningful dialog. At Uniper, employees can develop and strengthen their individual skills. We embrace entrepreneurial spirit and take responsibility, at every level of the Group. We have a joint approach, and our core values guide the Group’s daily work and how we perform our various activities. We call it “The Uniper Way”.
What we are looking for
To be able to meet the increasing demand of electricity in the future we at Uniper believe that it’s necessary to invest in all fossil free alternatives. Nuclear Power is a cornerstone in the Swedish power system providing reliable and clean energy, including several grid stabilizing services.
Sydkraft Nuclear Power AB is now looking for a Project Oversight Lead to join our Operations team. The main task of the team is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all our nuclear assets. We have ownership in all Swedish nuclear power plants and we also have ownership and a strong commitment in the Swedish program for nuclear waste and spent nuclear fuel.
As our Project Oversight Lead you will have a key role in our oversight of the large investment projects that are executed at both our majority and minority owned nuclear assets. In this oversight we initiate and participate in projects reviews where you contribute with your experience and competence to challenge and support the projects. The projects cover many different disciplines in which you get support with technical expertise from experienced colleagues. An important part of the current project portfolio is related to our minority ownership in SKB AB (Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB) and their ongoing projects to take care of the Swedish nuclear waste and spent nuclear fuel.
The position is placed in Malmö but traveling will occur on a regular basis.
What you will be working with
You will work towards all nuclear assets we have ownership in including all Swedish nuclear power plants and also nuclear facilities related to nuclear waste and spent nuclear fuel.
Your work will include but not be limited to:
- Active follow-up of large projects by participation in reviews, deep-dives etc
- Development of strategies and processes for evaluation of project management and project performance
- Performing analysis of investments from a project management perspective
- Review of board material and support strategic asset management and board members in project related issues
- Represent Sydkraft Nuclear Power AB in national and/or international committees and working groups within the area of project management and performance
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Who we are seeking
You have a University degree or equivalent in a relevant area such as Business Administration or Engineering. Relevant experience from working within the energy sector, and especially the nuclear business, is considered as an advantage. You have established experience in project management and preferably a certificate from a relevant institute such as PMI or IPMA. The role is set in an international environment which is why you need to be fluent in written as well as spoken Swedish and English. You have advanced communication and presentation skills and are able to communicate and present material in a clear and structured way.
As a person you have a high level of integrity, reliability and personal drive as well as a high level of commercial awareness. You are able to see the big picture and strive towards finding a pragmatic approach. You have a strong analytical mindset and willingness to drive performance and change. We also see that you value and promote cooperation and are a strong team player.
