GT-Nordics is a part of Sydkraft Thermal Power AB, which is responsible for the power plants that contribute to security of electricity supply in Sweden. Sydkraft Thermal Power AB also include Karlshamn Steam Power Plant.
GT-Nordics is a power plant organization with seven gas turbines at four different sites in southern Sweden providing electricity when it’s needed the most. We have a very committed team that is always ready to deliver and we also work closely with other gas turbine power plants and functions within the Uniper Group internationally.
We are now taking on the challenge to meet the increasing electricity demand and our target is to deliver sustainable and cost competitive ancillary services to the Swedish energy system. We believe that it’s necessary to invest in the transition towards CO2 neutral production, join us to be part of our journey.
We are now looking for an O&M Manager that will be located at Öresundsverket in Malmö. In this role you will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the GT Nordics gas turbines. You will manage a team of seven engineers, including gas turbine site managers and O&M support engineers, and you will also be a part of the management team.
What will you work with?
- Develop, lead and coordinate the team’s operations and reach pre-defined goals. One of the most important goals is to have the highest possible operational availability on our plants.
- Ensure legal and internal compliance within health, safety, security and environment.
- Responsible for annual and long-term budget and economic follow-up of the plants including investment projects.
- Travelling to the different sites is part of the job.
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Who we are seeking
You have a relevant engineering degree and several years of work experience from the energy production field, ideally both in operations and maintenance. Management skills are essential and competence within electrical engineering and I/C (Instrumentation & Control) is an advantage, but not a requirement. If you have experience in Project Management, this is also an advantage. You communicate well in English, both verbally and written. Swedish language skills are considered as a merit, but not a requirement.
As a person you have good leadership skills and high engagement when it comes to developing and managing people. You can easily see the bigger picture, are driven and make things happen. In addition, you are a good communicator and have the ability to cooperate and communicate with different types of people. We will pay attention to your personal capabilities such as ability to create structure, analytical skills and ability to cooperate.
