Synthetic Chemists

Recipharm Development in Uppsala is one of Recipharm’s development facilities. The site is located in Uppsala Business Park, Sweden.The site has extensive experience in synthetic and analytical chemistry. The offering includes a wide array of services in chemical synthesis and analysis including specialities such as medicinal chemistry, impurity identification, extractables and leachables testing, and non-GMP scale up chemistry. The projects we work with are varied and require very strong scientific background and problem-solving skills. You will be part of a knowledgeable, diverse and international group in an expanding company.

Main duties:

To our synthetic chemistry department in Uppsala, we are seeking one or two highly motivated synthetic chemists who enjoy science and explorations in the laboratory. You will be working closely with other synthetic and analytical chemists in projects but will be expected to independently perform all project tasks from synthesis of various types of substances, with associated purifications and analyses, to documentation and reporting, both written and oral, with customers and managers/co-workers. The project assignments will be varied in nature and often be of exploratory art which will always include laboratory work.

An appropriate minimum background is MSc in organic chemistry or similar life science education (or BSc with a few years industrial experience). Knowledge and experience with Medicinal Chemistry, Route Scouting and/or Upscale is a plus. Good English skills, both verbally and written, is a must, Swedish knowledge is advantageous.
