Cambrex Karlskoga is now looking for a synthetic organic chemist to the R&D Department. We offer an exciting opportunity to work with process development in an international pharmaceutical company. You will work with specialists in organic chemistry and process engineering with a high standard of science, innovation and quality.
Work description
As a synthetic chemist in R&D, your main mission is to support delivery of scalable processes for development products to our customers in the pharmaceutical industry. The work is performed in project form with emphasis on organic synthesis and experimental planning and characterized by strong focus on safety, quality and robustness.
Once the development work has been completed in the laboratory, you will follow the product into pilot plant manufacturing and support the production department in the chemical aspects of the manufacturing processes.
The position is full time for one year and the workplace is in Karlskoga.
Qualifications
We are looking for a MSc in organic chemistry or chemical engineering. We also believe that you have experience in experimental planning and laboratory synthesis, preferably from process chemistry. Experience in teamwork is meritorious.
In this role, you need to enjoy practical work in the laboratory, and have good knowledge of reporting, interpretation and documentation of scientific results. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and you have good written and spoken communication skills. As you will work in projects, you need to understand the strength of teamwork and be happy to share your success with others.
