The Project Support and Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a System Administrator in the Information Technology Division.
Description of directorate/division
The IT provides the technical tools needed to realise the project, providing a set of services and underlying technical services. It is part of the Administration Directorate and its duties focus heavily on operations and providing services.
Description of main responsibilities
Being an organisation that is expanding, this role is ever evolving. Together with the team you will take part in developing the IT work to meet the needs of the organization. Your main responsibilities are:
• Process request for change, incidents and information
• Document and evaluate the performance of services
• Design, implement and operate in the following services:
• Network and Connectivity Services
• Filesharing Services
• Windows Standard Desktop
• Pcounter
• Intune client management
• Windows deployment solutions
Qualifications
• University degree (BSc or MSc) in relevant field i.e. Computer Science
• Solid experience (3+ years) from a similar role, preferably experience in the public sector or work in a Research Infrastructure
• Master knowledge in windows client management and deployment
• Good knowledge in networking - you will manage our provider
• ITIL 3.0 certified in at least ITIL Foundation
• Excellent written and oral English skills
Extra merits:
• Scripting skills - powershell, bash, python
• Cisco certification
• Microsoft Server/Client certifications

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
