System Administrator

System Administrator

Arbetsbeskrivning

In the ever-expanding world of digitizing we secure the new society that emerges. Nexus’ Smart ID solutions and IoT platforms are transforming how we perceive trusted identities. Our Internal IT team plays a crucial role in ensuring we have the right tools and systems to ensure this transformation, and we are now looking for a System Administrator to strengthen the team. Do you want to be a part of our journey?

At Nexus our Internal IT team is part of the Employee Experience business unit. The reason is simple; we believe that our internal IT team plays an important role in delivering a good employee experience and to ensure everyone has the right tools, systems and knowledge to contribute to our mission: securing society by enabling trusted identities. We believe the magic happens when technical knowledge is mixed with a user-friendly focus.

Per Stoltz, who is leading our Internal IT team, is now looking for a hands on and solutions focused system administrator to strengthen the Internal IT team. The role is located in Stockholm, but you will support all of Nexus (spread out in Europe and Asia) and the IT team is located in three different offices. It is a small team and you will really get a chance to shine and develop together!

What will you be doing at Nexus?

In this position you will work as a system administrator with an extra focus on our Client, device and application management. As a system administrator you will work hands on in a broad IT-role and take care of the operation and maintenance of the IT systems used at Nexus. You play an important role in ensuring things run smoothly, are well documented and constantly improved. You will also take care of second and third line tickets like system issues, access problems, security incidents, and so on.

All our system administrator roles have an extra focus area, and we are now looking for you who feels that extra passion for Client Management. Being responsible for the IT Client Management means that you will play an important role in implementing Intune and monitoring of IT resources using Datadog. You make sure we use the tools and techniques needed to work with Client Management in a smooth and secure way. You will also be responsible for keeping instructions and documentation regarding your area up to date as well as updating your, and the teams's, knowledge continuously.

You will work closely with all parts of the organisation to ensure we have the right tools needed to succeed, follow up on new implementations or updates and be an available partner for internal IT topics. We also think you enjoy sharing knowledge and collaborate within the Employee Experience unit, since we know that we win as a team.

The role in bullets

- Work with troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement of all common systems within the organisation.
- Work with common second- and third-line tickets.
- Keep system documentation up to date.
- Act as a speaking partner for all of Nexus when it comes to internal IT topics
- Take responsibility in client, device and application management

Who are you?

First of all, we think your way of working and your mindset is the key to succeed in this role. We have six principles (https://join.nexusgroup.com/) that we work according to, and we hope that you recognize yourself in these.

We will not specify exactly how many years of experience you have, since we don't believe that one year here or there makes such a big difference. However, since we have a pretty complex IT-environment it is important that it is not your first rodeo! We therefore think you must have previous experience from a broad IT Systems administrator role where you've worked hands on in many different topics, preferably in a small/mid size company. Through out your working life you have learned to work independently and gained a broad understanding of commonly used systems and platforms (such as VMware, Windows, Azure, Office 365, AD/Azure AD). We believe you have been the person that actually got your hands dirty when things needed to be done so you really know your stuff. If you have worked in the security industry or in a high-tech company with developers, this will for sure trigger our attention a little bit more.

Further on we are looking for a true team player. We believe that you enjoy collaboration, sharing knowledge and learning about many aspects of Nexus. You understand the role internal IT plays in an employees everyday life and you are committed to making it a great experience. This also means that you have good communication skills and you know how to explain a complex problem in an easy way.

You are also the person who always strives to find creative solutions to what the business needs, and to constantly improve the way we do things. You do not shy away from taking an initiative and drive a full improvement process. Since we are a small team that trusts each other in the things that we do, it is very important that you take responsibility and finish things that you start. When we talk about "owning it" we really mean it, and we want you to be a person where taking accountability and responsibility is as important for you as it is for us.

Last, but not least - as you will work with colleagues from different countries you need to be able to communicate in English fluently (both written and verbally). If you also understand Swedish, this is a plus, since it will help in a dialogues with suppliers and other local stakeholders.
