System Administrator

We are looking for System Administrators for our Element Management Systems, OSIX and other supporting systems for both the radio and core side of the mobile network.
This is the job
The main focus area for you are the EMS and OSIX systems. The EMS systems are running in Linux environments and are used in the operations of the mobile network. Currently we are operating EMS systems from all major supplier of mobile network infrastructure. Our OSIX solution consists of a large number of bare metal servers collecting signalling data from various interfaces mainly for trouble shooting purposes. Today the responsibility for both EMS and OSIX lies within other departments. With the help of the current administrators you will gradually take over the administration of the systems.
Responsibilities include
Configuration and maintenance
To plan and perform upgrades, occasionally during service window at night time
Trouble shooting and bug fixing
User administration and support
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Supplier contact


Requirements
As a person you are self-motivated and act on your own initiative. You are able to work both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a colleague with previous experience in the following areas:
Unix/Linux environments, windows server and some knowledge in programming and/or scripting.
TCP/IP & IP routing and commonly used Internet Protocols
Virtualization; VMWare, Openstack or equivalent
Additional advantages is experience in these areas:
Element Management Systems for mobile networks
Server administration
OSIX
Telco signalling
Database administration
