System Administrator Basic Infrastructure

Your future challenge

You will as part of the team run tasks within your technical area within several systems which makes it important to have wide knowledge and be prepared for a vast array of assignments. Your team in Linköping is part of a larger team of system administrators in Sweden. Some of the assignments are run in project form where you will act as a technical advisor, and if you have the interest, part project lead.


Your team will run operations, development and upgrades of systems in order maintain the environments at the recommended security- and function updates. In order to maintain the team's knowledge you will be responsible for keeping ajour with developments and business intelligence in your field. You and your colleagues will run in to new tasks that demand creativity, patience and some understanding for other technologies than "your own".

You will:

* Together with your colleagues build and maintain network infrastructure at Saab.
* Work with a security mindset in all that you do.
* Work in large projects as well as short work tasks.
* Work evenings on monthly service windows.

You can easily switch between work tasks and put your concentration where the need is largest at the time, with the long term focus on yours and your team's long term goals. You work in a team where you learn from and help each other every day. You meet other people with respect and understanding, as customer interaction is a part of your everyday job.

You have the ability to communicate your needs, reflections and improvement suggestions to your colleagues in Swedish and English. You have a driver's license corresponding to Swedish B. Travels within Sweden is part of the job. This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

You have a will to learn and develop and working with IT is more a lifestyle than a job. Constructive critsism is something you both receive and give in well meaning.

Other information

The positions are full-time and based in Linköping. We will fill the positions on August 16th at the latest, interviews will be held continuously during the application period. The job advertisement can be removed at an earlier date if we have moved on the signing phase. Emphasis will be put on personal interest and suitability. A personal commitment to IT is more important than a formal education and or degree.
