System Administrator to Maxar in Linköping

Job description
Vricon Systems AB, a part of Maxar since July 2020, represents the Company in Linköping, Sweden. Maxar is currently seeking an IT Administrator to join our team in Linköping, Sweden. We work with the whole world in 3D and possess world-unique technology in advanced image processing.  This is a central role in our R&D center that is both exciting and important and where you have a great chance to both influence and take great responsibility.  As an IT Administrator, you will work with the internal computer environment and be involved in the entire life cycle from concept, requirements, and development to testing, construction, and operation.  You will follow the development of technology and enable our goal to build a world in 3D both today and in the future.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role will vary.  You will have a great opportunity to like and influence choices. For example, you will work with:
Administration of Linux
Administration and configuration of servers, clients, and switches
Virtualization
Large calculation clusters

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to listen to and understand the organization’s needs.  Through this, you will need to take great responsibility for the IT life cycle to drive, lead, and steer the work forward.  You must possess great communication skills and the ability to project manage the work and prioritize tasks for continuous improvement. 

Qualifications
This position involves work with classified information whereby you are required to complete and be approved in a security check by a Swedish authority
Must have 4 years of relevant experience
Demonstrate fluency in Swedish and English, both oral and written.

Demonstrated experience in each of the following:
Linux Administration
Virtualization (VMware, KVM / QEMU)
Docker
Network

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with any of the following:
IT security
Firewalls
Large calculation clusters (eg Slurm)
Storage system for HPC (ZFS, GPFS, Luster, NFS, Samba)
Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, PXE, AD
