Your mission:
The Infrastructure group (a team of 5 to 10 people) is responsible for the Institute's entire IT infrastructure. The group's main activities involve managing server rooms, scientific data storage, virtualisation infrastructures, the network for the entire site, server security and telecommunications (telephony, email, etc.).
You will join the Network and Data Services Group and participate actively in the following activities:
- Lead and carry out technical projects
- Design and architect new solutions
- Actively participate in the data management policy
- Participate in the maintenance and development of the infrastructures of the ILL's main information system.
Your profile:
- Level 4/5 qualification (BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent) in computer systems, supplemented by a professional experience of at least 2 years on heterogeneous Windows and Linux IT infrastructure projects.
- You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
Obligatory IT skills:
- Experience of Debian GNU/Linux administration
- Good knowledge of network administration
- Good knowledge of Windows server administration
- High sensitivity to IT security
- Experience on data management policies (FAIR data)
- We would also appreciate experience with an automation tool (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
- Experience in a research environment would be a plus.
The main tools to master are, among others:
- System administration: Debian, Windows Server
- Networks: Extreme networks.
