Alstom, the global leader in smart and sustainable mobility
is looking for a System Application Design Engineer to be based Stockholm.
What will you do?
Working with railway signalling has never been more exiting that now. The new European standard, ERTMS is on its way to reshape the future of public transportation.
As a System Application Design Engineer your responsibility will be to configure parameters in the software of the interlocking and radio block systems to fulfil the needs for testing Generic Application functionality. You will be working with ETCS (European Train Control System) & ERTMS, as part of the wayside system.
Your key responsibilities?
Railway signalling system design and technical solutions of a specific application for testing purposes.
Design and implement the site application data for test yards used for verification of Generic Application functionality.
Follow applicable internal and external railway rules and regulations.
Create and deliver specific application documentation to secure quality.
Follow applicable internal procedures for Configuration and Change Management.
Cooperation with employees within the team and department to continuously improve system knowledge and improve way of working.
Analyse and understand system requirements for the railway signalling system.

Who are you?
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or any other equivalent field or work experience.
Relevant experience required in a similar role (i.e., directly linked to the requirements of the position).
Software design knowledge.
Relevant experience working with requirements, specifications, and documentation of complex technical systems.
Railway signalling knowledge is preferred.
Unix or Linux knowledge.
Good communication skills.
English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role.
