System Architect
SKF Connected Technologies provides a range of offers covering condition monitoring, load and rotation sensing, online systems, mobile systems, wireless systems and numerous software solutions, which are now designed specifically to enable rotation equipment performance offers and scalability.
As a System Architect, you will be part of the team in Luleå that develop SKFs condition monitoring products. Our products fit into SKFs digitalization platform and you will be involved in the whole product lifecycle – from design, implementation and production to commercial deployment and maintenance.
Your day-to-day work
Participate in planning, definition and high-level design of system solutions and exploration of solution alternatives.
Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions between subsystems.
Operate within an economic framework when analyzing the impact of design decisions.
Work with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level solution intent, and the solution information models and documentation requirements.
Participate in system and solution demonstrations.
Developing smart/innovative solutions to give SKF the edge on the market.
Adhere to and improve, the team’s Way of Working process.
Travel may be required to support product development activities.
We expect you to have/be
University degree, preferable in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
Experience working with development of systems that include software and embedded electronic devices.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
We see it as beneficial if you have some years of experience working in an architect role and have experience from digital signal processing and vibration analysis. If you are accustomed to working in Agile development teams or have experience working within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, then that’s a plus.
