About the position
Our customer in the automotive industry is looking for a System Architect within Service Operations.
The System architect is responsible for designing and implementing short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software. In addition, there is a must to make sure that all planned and in-place system architectures are aligned with the specific ARTs goals.
As a member of the ART Data Driven Service and Software you are responsible for designing product architecture and setting requirements needed to secure an effective and efficient end-to-end workflow for Service Providers. As part of the ART you will be working cross-functionally across the company and organization from concept stage to the after market. By understanding the end user product performance with methods and tools you will leveraging your knowledge and experience in driving or assisting in architecture, system, and product design. You have the ability to adapt solutions to the latest and future developments such as connectivity, electrification, mobility and autonomous drive solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand the workshops needs, it’s motives and incentives
- Design the end-to-end workflow in terms of products and capabilities
- Define and maintain architecture structure for relevant functions, systems and components required to support the needed products and capabilities
- Create and maintain function development roadmap needed to meet future technology and needs
- Monitor the performance and end-user experience of the customer fault tracing products
- Support product teams in design and implementation as needed to align products to the intended end-to-end workflow
- Coordinate architecture and system design with Solution and System architects
- Assist in the design of on-board and off-board diagnostic capabilities for specific functions or systems
Your profile
- Proven experience developing strategic system architecture plans
- Extensive experience in system and network creation and development
- Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices
- Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience conducting technology, trends, standards and products research
- Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
- Experience providing guidance and leadership to novice systems engineers
- Proven experience identifying, analyzing and resolving system problems
- Experience in systems design and/or architecture design
- Experience and expertise in electronics
- Field experience in performing diagnostics/fault tracing
- Experience or expertise in business development
- Experience or expertise within automotive aftermarket operations is meritorious

About the organisation
