About us
We are part of an agile product development organisation with SAFE as a way of working and in our product, stream Connected Experience our purpose is to develop and deliver Infotainment, Connectivity and Cloud Platform, as well as a fantastic digital user experience.

We are proudly working with high quality technology such as Android Auto with our partners Google and Qualcomm. Volvo Cars has received widespread accolades from the international press during the unveiling and ongoing demonstrations of our connected infotainment system throughout the world. To support this exciting future, we are looking for an Architect to strengthen our team. You will work in a creative environment, constantly implementing new functionality, where we focus on both developing the product, team and the individual people.

What you’ll do 
As an Architect for audio systems, you will have a key role for Hardware and Mechatronics development within Connected Experience.  
You will have large functional network within Connected Experience but also outside our solution, e.g. SWEP, Base Product Development, Vehicle Top-hat. Design, Procurement, Product strategy, Manufacturing and Quality.

o    Define high level system design / architecture together with ART and Solution Architects and other stakeholders.
o    Support scrum teams with complex system design development, decisions and attribute balancing.
o    Work closely together and support the Product Owner.
o    Audio technical strategies and guidelines are set and anchored with relevant stakeholders.
o    Follow technology trends and evaluate maturity of future technical solutions.

What you‘ll bring 
o    Great experience of automotive electrical and mechanical design integration from relevant product area
o    5+ years of real-time software development experience, preferably in audio, speech, and SoC GPP - DSP architectural environments.
o    Network topologies, functional distribution and allocation.
o    Previous experience of architect roles and responsibilities
o    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, computer or Mechatronics science (or similar)
