We are the Electric Propulsion System Architecture team, a part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology’s Electromobility organization. Our responsibility is to create the Electromobility System Architecture for our new Zero Emission products.
We work as a team to evolve system and software architecture, cybersecurity and functional safety via strategy, tactics, and operational support. Our team is expanding with a System Architect, Hardware that can enable on time and high-quality system/hardware deliveries through a broad understanding of the electronic system functionalities and its interdependencies.
Who are you?
As a System Architect, Hardware you will take advanced technology products from concept to a real system. You will take lead in cutting edge solutions that will support the zero-emission goal. To do this, you’ll do both physical and behavioral modelling of the systems, working with colleagues from many different parts of the Volvo Group.
You are highly familiar with the Configuration Management principles and continuous integration/ Continuous deployment. Knowledge in Automotive Communication standards as CAN and Ethernet as well as Functional safety (ISO 26262). Experience in Design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) and Software Failure Modes Effects Analysis (SFMEA). A very good understanding in Hazards when introducing and designing electronics in higher voltage applications
To be able to take on this challenge successfully, we believe that you will possess the following skills and competencies:
More than ten years of experience in electronics design.
Min. 3 years of experience in System engineering.
Skilled and experienced in Agile development and Agile principles.
Skilled and experienced in requirement specification.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
Meritorious competences:
Knowledge in Electromobility
System architecture experience
Personal attributes:
Solid experience with good track record in coaching/leading teams in a similar automotive environment.
Talented in communication, effective and always adapted to the audience, verbally and in writing.
Result-oriented, high ability to prioritize, plan and align.
