Who are we, your new colleagues?
The KOLA Agile Release Train (ART) is composed of four product teams developing and maintaining the core application within the product development at Volvo (KOLA) – the heart of Volvo product documentation. We are team members of different background, genders and experiences. We have an open communication and always a helpful mindset. With us, you will take a key role as the System Architect for the KOLA ART, striving to align teams to a shared technical direction and partner with those teams in elaborating the Large Solution.
Collaboration is Key and we have the possibility to work from the office in Lundby, Gothenburg every day but also the option to partly work from home. We look forward to expanding our team with a System Architect for the KOLA ART.
What will you be doing?
We are bit by bit transforming our monolith solution to a modern cloud native microservice architecture.
Your work will be to support and guide the product teams it the day-to-day work on that journey, so we meet the defined targets. You will work tightly together with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, Product Managers and Solution Architects. You will be the natural connection between the product teams in the KOLA ART and the Large Solution. You will also take on to strengthen the PLM/PDM Architect Community and act as a cross organizational connector using formal and informal networks. In your role you will also work with peer Solution Architects cross-team, sharing knowledge and defining the future IT Solutions and microservices for the whole Volvo product documentation domain.
Your personality is your major asset, but you also have:
Been working as a Senior Java Solution Architect in an agile team and have gained experience through your own hobby projects. You have a university degree in software engineering, computer science or similar. You are proficient in Java 11 and you have knowledge about security standards.
To be able to work with us you need to have a valid work-permit for Sweden and be fluent in English. Swedish is a clear advantage, since your colleagues live and work in Gothenburg, Sweden.
We think you have
Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills.
Solid experience from similar tasks, and you are self-motivated
Several years of experience of Java development with skills in high-quality software design and applying OOP and SOLID design principles.
Expertise in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier architecture with Java, Spring, Angular JS, PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka
Experience in aligning application development with business needs
Experience in working under a DevSecOps model.
Knowledge about security standards and guidelines like OAuth2 and OWASP
Experience of doing reviews to guarantee the structure and design of the application follows standards and guidelines.
Documented and assisted in defining the functional and technical requirements for different applications
Knowledge in asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, cloud services and test automation frameworks
Experience in designing REST APIs and using Domain Driven Design
Solid experience from Spring framework
