System Area Manager, Business Intelligence

Ericsson is a leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally.More than 1000 networks in 140 countries utilize our network equipment and 40 percent of all mobile calls are made through our systems.We are one of the few companies worldwide that can offer end-to-end solutions for all major mobile communication standards.The mission of the Ericsson IT organization is to drive service delivery excellence, source value through service integration and managed partner agreements, and drive innovative use of IT to provide Ericsson with a competitive advantage.The IT organization also manages global IT architecture for optimized value against total cost of ownership.Job description The System Area Manager (SAM) acts as product manager for the applications within the Business Intelligence (BI) area.BI involves a number of systems, with Business Warehouse (BW) being the main one.The SAM is responsible for end-to-end delivery and TCO (total cost of ownership) of the solution.The role involves acting as coordinator between the outsourced partners (currently HP and IBM), Ericsson business stakeholders, and stakeholders within Ericsson IT management.The System Area Manager has overall responsibility for all initiatives around the BI solution and is responsible for planning of the application lifecycle.The SAM will be part of an IT Management Core Team, with a primary focus on the BI solution and will, together with other team members, create and implement long-term strategy.SAP and Business Intelligence through Business Warehouse is a key part of Ericsson's business and the System Area Manager will be involved in creating and driving Ericsson's strategy in the BI Area in the future. Requested competence Master of Science and/or equivalent experience in the workplace.
