System Area Manager: Project and Resource

Ericsson is a leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally.More than 1000 networks in 140 countries utilize our network equipment and 40 percent of all mobile calls are made through our systems.We are one of the few companies worldwide that can offer end-to-end solutions for all major mobile communication standards.The mission of the Ericsson IT organization is to drive service delivery excellence, source value through service integration and managed partner agreements, and drive innovative use of IT to provide Ericsson with a competitive advantage.The IT organization also manages global IT architecture for optimized value versus total cost of ownership.Job description The Project and Resource Management team, within IT Management, manages the functionality and performance of all global Project and Resource Management IT applications.Project and Resource Management's objective is to support IT processes.As the System Area Manager for Project and Resource Management, you will have overall responsibility for all applications within the area.The system area roadmap and the business service level agreements (SLAs) for included applications are the major governance documents that are created and maintained in this role.You will ensure that performance delivery of all applications within the system area is according to signed business SLAs.You will have the end-to-end responsibility for performance, stability, development, deployment and support for global IT systems (applications) within the system area.You will also have the total cost of ownership for all IT systems (applications) within the system area - that is, forecasting and follow-up of total cost.It will also be your responsibility to manage Ericsson partners and suppliers in order to secure accurate delivery and maintain roadmaps for the system area.Initially, the position is System Area Manager and System Manager for applications in the area.Based on need and workload, the task of supporting System Managers and Performance Managers may be added.Solution expert support is already in place.The team will be your organizational base, but you will also be involved in daily coordination with stakeholders throughout the entire IT organization. Requested competence A Master of Science or equivalent work experience is required for this position.The successful candidate will also have: . Experience of working in a multi-partner environment, preferably at management level .Experience of project/program management . Experience in IS/IT-related work . Leadership and change-management skills . The ability to understand customer needs and use them to further develop system area objectives . Good cooperative skills . Fluency in English .
