About us
Propulsion system CAE is part of Vehicle propulsion concept and architecture department. We work with the electrical propulsion system for electric vehicles, which includes HV batteries, electric motors, inverters, transmissions, and chargers. The team is working with development of virtual methods and simulation of propulsion system attributes like energy efficiency and performance. This includes commercial tools in combination with in-house developed models and procedures.

As a System CAE engineer you work closely together with team members, product owner, scrum master, team manager, system architects and other stakeholders to create the right customer value. You will take part in leading modeling and simulation development and contribute to producing data to take informed and data-driven decisions on new powertrain concepts. You take an active part in the agile ceremonies and contribute to having well defined stories and acceptance criteria to create customer value, and release solutions and technology.

You and your skills
We are looking for a person with a Master of Science degree within engineering and with knowledge in and minimum five years' work-life experience from CAE methodologies and tools as well as experience with causal and acausal physical modeling, Python and GIT. Knowledge regarding electro-mechanical modelling for battery, electric machines and inverter as well as knowledge in machine learning is seen as a merit.
Previous experience from electric propulsion on system or component level is a requirement for the role. Principal experience in product development, working methods and program execution is needed, to be able to fulfil the role.
You are a team player who is willing to contribute to the atmosphere as well as the deliverables from the team. The job also requires that you be self-motivated with a strong drive for personal development. You are great in oral and written communication in English, business oriented, flexible, structured and performance driven. Experience of agile way of working is a merit.
