Electromobility Department is responsible for the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. This organization develop and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is a growing agile driven organization in place to shape the future!
The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Electrical Distribution System (EDS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the EDS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
 
We now recruiting a combined role as System Engineer and System Chief Engineer for our Electrical Distribution System

Job Description
 
As System Chief Engineer and System Engineer, you will focus on the long term technical strategies for the Electrical Distribution System in close collaboration with Electromobility and the EDS team but also with customers and stakeholders within other parts of the Volvo Community. In the role of System Chief Engineer you will together with the team develop our EDS-system with a strive for excellence. We believe you to have previous experience from being a technical leader and that you have several years of development of Electrical Distribution Systems for HV application.
To be able to fully enjoy the position you should be ambitious but prestige less and with excellent collaboration skills. Since the area is in an early phase, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment.
 
Qualifications
Experience from development of High Voltage Electrical Distribution Systems
Strong drive and high energy level with ability to contribute to create a high performing working culture
Communicative and with good influencing skills/mentoring mindset
Experience from systems engineering methodologies with the aim to build quality & reliability into our products
Relevant educational background
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
