What we do
Diagnostic is one key component towards improved quality, and we need additional colleagues to strengthen the team. Our mission is to design and develop generic diagnostic requirements, give support, education and write SW components.

For this position we are focusing on creating and designing generic diagnostic requirements for BaseTech data. Data collection is a central area for Volvo cars, it will enable us to understand the health of our vehicle and customers usage to continuously improve our product. It is not enough that data is there, we should design a generic way of defining, measuring, and retrieving/collecting the data, which will be the focus of the position.

What you'll do
You will design/write requirements along with support and educate node owners. You are to contribute to the establishment of technical solutions related to data retrieval as well as in the teams test activities and update of test methods. You are to plan, prioritize and coordinate the work with the team members.

Who you are
You would carry a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. You have at least +5 years of experience in system design engineering as well as working with data collection on distributed embedded systems. You are fluent in communication with English both written and spoken.

It is highly desireable of you have experience within software development  as well as knowledge in vehicle Diagnostics such as UDS/ISO 14229. If you have experience within Volvo Cars in ways of working and the organization it will be recognized and beneficial for this role. You have experience working in Agile teams ( SAFE, Scrum ). If you carry valid European driver’s license B is also very beneficial for this role.
