System Design Engineer Vehicle state and Lateral control
We need to strengthen our Vehicle state and Lateral control Team with a System Design Engineer. Vehicle state and Lateral control team is a part of the ART Vehicle Motion Control at department Vehicle Energy & Motion Control.
Vehicle Motion Controls aim is to control the vehicle in all 6 degrees of freedom by input from several sensor to control several actuators as propulsion, and chassis features. The organisation work from early research and advanced engineering projects to industrialization of the systems, in cross functional teams that covers all from feature definition, system design, software development to system and vehicle testing.
What you will do?
Vehicle State Estimation includes e.g. vehicle mass estimation, lateral speed estimation, road slope and road friction estimation. As a System Design Engineer you will describe how an electrical system shall be realized in a system solution that fulfils the technical, time and cost requirements. You will support and develop the functional safety and technical safety concepts and allocate requirements to respective functionalities. You will develop the system solution by using Elektra and System Weaver/Car Weaver.
Who are you?
We seek someone who is open minded and curious with a good ability to cooperate. You have to be self-driven and unafraid of seeking new ways to solve problems. You have good communication skills and we assume that you communicate fluently in English (speech and writing). Besides being customer focused, you have a strong analytical capability, is structured and organized in daily work. You bring experience from software and system development, have a holistic view and great systems thinking. You have 3-5 years of work experience in the relevant field and a master’s degree in engineering.
Required qualifications
* Experience from automotive software development
* Elektra and System Weaver/Car Weaver
* Experience in vehicle dynamics and signal processing
* Master of Science in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Control, Physics or similar Engineering
* Experience from agile way of working is meritorious
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Driver license (level B)

* A team-player with high communication skills
Structured with good ability to plan daily
