In our department within Safe Vehicle Automation we are around 150 ambitious and highly skilled engineers creating tomorrow’s platform solutions for our active safety and self-driving vehicles. Our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Drive & Advanced Driver Assistance System Platform develops the complete sensor and software platform for functions such as collision avoidance, automatic parking, autonomous driving. Included in our responsibility is design and verification of state-of-the-art LiDARs, ultrasonic sensors, cameras and radars.
At Vision Platform we have an ambitious automotive camera vision roadmap that bring together our agile teams in close collaboration with our suppliers, stakeholders and other development teams. We are now looking for a system engineer to one of our teams.
What you will do
We want a curious and open-minded team player with a "bring-it-on" mindset to be part of our agile development team, who is skilled within automotive vision system design. As a system designer, your main focus will be to guide, design, define and develop automotive camera-based vision systems, from architectural design to implementation, to validation and verification in both Software in the loop and Vehicles. You will work closely with other stakeholders and partners internally and externally.
Do you fit the profile?
To be the right person in this role we see that you have 5-7 years of experience within software and system design from the automotive sector or other relevant sectors. Your academic background is a minimum a Master's degree within electronics, mechatronics, software engineering, or similar. You have proven hands-on experience in system engineering and knowledge of graphical systems- on-chips/-modules, optical flow, calibration, diagnostics, classification, object detection, and sensor fusion. We also find it meritorious if you have products in the market which you have contributed towards, and experience in sensor development, cybersecurity and system safety standards, and automotive SW integration and deployment.
As for your personal qualities, we see that you are a driven, structured and resourceful team player who can deliver the "how" and "what" in dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. You thrive in managing complexity and bringing engineers together to make a difference in the product. Of course, you are also a good communicator, and have excellent English skills both verbally and in writing. Driver's license (B, valid in EU) is seen as meritorious.
