Get to know us!
The team Function & Control is responsible for development of all seat functions at Volvo Cars. We design, develop, and deliver software and mechanical functionality and design, for both our inhouse and the supplier part of the control modules.

You and your skills
We are now looking for an engineer with experience of working agile, product development in automotive industry, AUTOSAR knowledge, experience in coordinating and leading projects. We are looking for an individual who has strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. You are someone who can manage tasks independent and drive issues with energy and transparent in reporting status of the area, manage cross functional contacts. 

Your main responsibility
•    Define system design requirements towards different components for realizing functions in vehicle.
•    Be responsible for developing, aligning, and implementing relevant requirements, including Functional Safety (ISO26262), Cyber Security and legal parts.
•    Actively participate in joint reviews for Software, System Safety & Cyber Security according to the project plan.
•    Define network signal interfaces for communication between ECUs.
•    Support the test engineers in defining system level test cases and support in test/Verfication activities.
•    Define diagnostics strategy based on the overall system design.

Requirements:
Essential Competencies:

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Electronics engineering/Embedded Systems/Mechatronics or equivalent
•    Knowledge in Networking protocols such as CAN or LIN or Flexray etc
•    Familiar with requirement Engineering
•    Overall knowledge of embedded electronic systems from both development and production point of views
•    Minimum three years’ experience in Design, Development and Validation of automotive electrical/electronic components.
•    Automotive ECU technical knowledge and previous experience of component ownership managing ECU industrialization projects and working with Automotive Tier 1 suppliers or EMS, Electronic Manufacturing Services companies.
•    Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Good To have:
•    Working knowledge of programming in Embedded C or similar language
•    Knowledge in electrical components such as DC Motors, Actuators, Sensors (Hall Sensors, Temperature Sensors), circuit design and electrical schematics.
