About PDU Radio
Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson’s radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson’s strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G.
About Radio Systems & Technology
Radio Systems & Technology drives radio product and technology evolution, high-level systemization, architecture definition, standardization, mid- and long-term development plans, and long-term product plans (products and features) for PDU Radio.
About this role
In this role, you will lead the work to break down high-level market requirements into a proposal of radio HW(hardware) and SW(software) system solutions that can be realized in the next generation of radio development projects. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver a technical solution and cost estimates to realize a solution for customer release.
You will participate in strategic work to evolve the long-term radio portfolio solutions, technology and architecture.
The position is based in Kista and may require travel to other PDU Radio sites in Sweden, China and Canada.

You will
Drive radio technical studies or strategies
Interact with Product Management and technical experts to define the radio portfolio and product requirements
Perform requirement breakdown to Radio level (SW and HW)
Evolve the Radio HW and SW architecture and system-level design to meet the product requirements
Participate in strategic work to evolve the long-term radio portfolio solutions, technology and architecture.
Drive and participate in RAN(Radio Access Network) and ERS(Ericsson Radio System) level system-related technical studies
Report to Line Manager Radio

To be successful in the role you must have
Core Competencies:
Experience as a leader of technical projects and studies
System or Radio HW/SW design knowledge
Creativity and Innovation

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
Fluency in English oral as well as written
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in System and/or HW/SW design

You ideally have
Good understanding of Project management (e.g. Manage budget, time plan, resources, risks, multiple sites)
Experience in RBS or Baseband system or HW/SW design implementation, architectures, integration and verification
Radio Requirement refinement and allocation skills (from RAN, RBS-level to Radio level)
Customer interaction related experience
Documented work as a technical leader in advanced technical projects including both HW and SW with team sizes from 5-50 people
