System Developer

Global Business Services is a function within Sandvik IT Global Shared Service, responsible for delivery and supply of global business services such as support, development and training. We are now looking for a System Developer to join the SMS MES team supporting global applications used all around the world. The location for the position is Gimo, Sweden.

Key performance areas
As System Developer you will be an important part of Sandvik IT SMS MES, where you will be part of a team delivering both project activities and application maintenance within the production area. Your main tasks will be to deliver systems-development-related activities within each release, such as requirement analysis, development of new functionality and quality assurance in close cooperation with our stakeholders.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in computer science, or equivalent knowledge, combined with three to five years' experience in the field. Competence in C# and relational databases is a prerequisite, as is experience in OO development. Experience in Visual C++ or VB.net development is advantageous, as is experience working with Oracle. You communicate well in Swedish and in English, both in writing and speaking.

As a person you are enthusiastic and analytical with a strong focus on details and a systematic and structured problem-solving approach. You are service minded, with a strong customer focus and the ability to transform customer requirements into working solutions. Furthermore, you are a team player and have good communication skills, with the ability to express your-self clearly and in a pedagogical manner.
