Are you interested in software-based automation and industrial design? We’re expanding our team to further develop our automation platforms – and are now looking for a Software Engineer/Systems Developer to join our team of experts. Is that you? Please keep reading!
What we do
In line with the Sandvik Coromant Strategy, the mission of our department is to further drive operational excellence in our global R&D-organization and meet the increasing needs for even more automation, flexibility, and speed. We develop and support programming platforms that enable design- and construction-domain experts with limited programming knowledge, to automate parts of the complex product development process. The system exchange data with many IT Systems in the IT landscape, like CAD-, CAM, SAP and MES systems.
Key performing areas
One of your main areas is to work with our internally developed platform, CAPP. We’re currently transforming CAPP to tomorrow’s state of the art. You work in collaboration with colleagues in our team and with other teams both in R&D and IT. Since we’re moving away from mainframe automation platforms towards modern environments, contributing to the ongoing development of our sustainable platforms for engineering automation.
The location for this position is Sandviken, and we offer you the chance to work part time remotely (60% on site and 40% flexible). Occasional travel is a natural part of your job.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent training. We suggest you have some work experience in programming and system development. Experience with APL, .NET, container technique, JSON, REST API’s is a bonus. You need to be passionate about driving automation. As we operate in an international setting, it’s important that you have good English skills, both verbally and in writing. The position involves contact with different stakeholders, being communicative and able to share your knowledge with others is essential.
