Our Exciting Opportunity
Traffic Control (TC) Systems is a system unit at Network System & Verification (NSV) within Business Unit Network working with Traffic Control and Radio Access Network (RAN) Services for 5G Mobile Systems. We are a team of skilled system developers in Kista & Linköping interacting with 5G developers, testers and customers at various sites around the globe. Traffic Control is a key functionality in the expanding 5G business why we need to expand our workforce with System Developers in Kista.
The main responsibility of the unit is 5G traffic control and RAN services, including e.g. higher-layer RAN 3GPP interfaces and protocols, eNB and gNB algorithms for mobility, connection handling, dual connectivity, carrier aggregation, and RAN Services, including e.g. voice (VoLTE and VoNR), RAN slicing, RAN sharing, Internet off Things (IoT) and FWA. The systemization work is broad and includes understanding both lower layers (PHY, MAC) and connection to the core network and end-user applications that run on top of our RAN.
You will
• Work together with a team of very experienced and highly qualified system engineers, working in all phases of the product development flow with an extra emphasis on the early phases (concept building, proof of concepts, systemization of functionality)
• Drive studies, acting as a bridge to design and verification, taking ownership for a specific technical area, KanBan master, simulation work, standardization in 3GPP, field trials support, customer contacts and more
• Work near our customer doing Demos, Proof of Concepts (PoC) and system support
• Report to the Product Development Leader
To be successful in the role you must have
• A personality that is positive, productive and creative
• A need to strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations
• MSc level in a technical subject area or the equivalent level of knowledge
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent English skills both written and oral
Following Experiences will be a beneficial asset
• Education and experience in telecommunication
• Experience as a system developer
• Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
• Simulation skills (Redhawk)
