We like to work together so we sometimes work with pair programming to solve tough tasks, but you will also work independently. One of our challenges is to continue to build great solutions and develop new features to make our shopping experience better and faster by utilizing Machine Learning. Therefore, we are now looking for a skilled system developer to join our new Personalization team.
Responsibilities:
As a System Developer in our brand new Personalization team, you will develop machine learning to create personalized product recommendations and suggestions for our customers when they shop for their everyday groceries, so the customer can save time and stress less.
At MatHem we are working with modern architecture based on microservices and serverless. In your daily work, you will develop new functions in C# or node.js on AWS Lambda. You will be writing and maintaining single microservices that could be made up of one or more Lambda functions. It could be written in the supported language that best suits the task. You will be working with DynamoDB table that triggers events on updates that other services can consume. This will automatically be deployed to our test and production environments using AWS CodePipeline.
We are looking for someone with an agile mindset, who likes to work together and wants to bring new code and ideas to MatHem. We are language-agnostic and your opinions and ideas matter to us. In addition to that, we are experimenting with bleeding-edge technology, like using open source, and test everything ourselves - you build it, you own it!
What we are looking for:
• A skilled System Developer with experience working with Machine Learning
• Someone with technical interest and experience in C#, Java, Node.js, Python, Golang or similar modern programming languages
• Experience in Elasticsearch, Big Query, Sagemaker or Tensorflow is nice to have
• Academic background and theoretical interest of Machine Learning
• It’s advantageous if you have an understanding of serverless technology, event-driven patterns and experience in one or more cloud providers (preferably AWS)
• Experience working with A/B testing
• And most importantly, you enjoy developing cool products that make it possible for us to work faster and smarter and of course, make the user experience the best possible!
• You have a work permit, you live in EU and are willing to relocate to Stockholm
