Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Do you want to be a part of Scania’s inhouse developed test platform which is used for testing our driveline components?

At the moment we’re facing new challenges since electrification of the driveline is rapidly changing our existing testbeds and the number of installed systems. The group is part of the Powertrain Testing department where Scania is at the moment investing a lot to become a global champion in the years ahead.

You might be the person we are looking for. Our responsibility is Scania’s inhouse developed platform which we use for component testing, external testing and End-Of-Line testing.

The platform has a wide usage but mostly for Transmission, Hybrid and Engine testing. Together with our colleges at Testbed Development we are responsible for both high quality and the uptime in the testbeds. The future is already here and we have many ongoing projects where the e-mobility is challenging us to develop new solutions and leading us in new directions.


Your assignments

•Support Research & Development in the testing process

•Continue to develop our existing test platform

•Cross functional projects for new testing systems

•Simulate and develop models for existing and new systems


You will be supported in all of these tasks by the rest of the team. We are an experienced group of engineers who work together, sharing knowledge to help each other to meet our common goals.

Your profile

We are looking for a person who can combine software development and innovation with the ability to understand what we are testing. You are a team player and understand the importance of being one. You should have competence or at least the will to develop skills in the following areas:

•PC based Control Systems

•LabVIEW/GOOP/TwinCAT

•Profibus/EtherCAT/CAN

•ASAM ODS/SQL Database

Knowledge in different development techniques is a merit but not a requirement.

You most likely hold a Bachelor or a Master degree in Engineering or with equivalent experience from earlier positions. You should have good communication skills at least English but preferably also Swedish, be able to work pro-actively and be able to form good working relationships with a diverse range of functions within Scania.
