Want to help Scania drivers to reduce CO2 footprint?
Can you pass on the opportunity to join one of the best development teams in the world? One of our stars in the team has with tears in his eyes decided to join another team at Scania and we need to replace him. Our team develop customer services with the aim to decrease the environmental footprint of road transportation, to decrease fuel consumption and to make the transports safer with fewer accidents. To help our customers in the best way we want to take data driven decisions to solve business problems.We are now looking for a system developer with an interest in data analytics or a data scientist who wants learn more about system development to help us in this amazing and rewarding journey.
Job description
You will be working in an agile team together with other team members, a product owner and a Scrum master. You will work very close with your team using methods like pair and mob programming. You will also be able to work cross functionality within the service development department sharing knowledge within your areas of expertise.
One of your main tasks will be to further develop our award winning driver evaluation model which is based on data from over 500 000 vehicles all over the world. You will be one of the persons with a large influence on how we can even further develop the model with advanced analytics using both internal Scania data and external 3rd party data scores.
To be able to succeed in this role we believe that apart from software development skills you should also have experience from:
• data analysis, data mining and data visualization
• analytical and quantitative problem solving
• statistics and machine learing

You and the team decide how to work and which technologies that best support you in building your software. For the current products and services, we are using .NET Core, Python, SQL, Hadoop ecosystem and AWS.
About You
We believe that you have a holistic view on the development cycle and therefore do not want to focus solely on a specific part of the problem. We also believe that you are a problem solver driven by customer needs rather than a specific technical stack. We want you to have good understanding of programming principles and appreciation of the purpose and the practices of Agile. We also want you to be curious and to have the ability to learn new technology domains. You are fluent in English at professional business level.
