System Director Automatic Milking Systems


Responsible to grow the product area through inspirational innovation to meet the needs of a fast evolving global dairy market complementing the DeLaval Milk Extraction System strategy, offering and competitiveness. High emphasis will be on fully automated Milking Systems with the needs of Large Herd in mind. A strong customer focus and DeLaval inter-division collaboration ethos throughout the System Area team will be a pre-requisite.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the related Milk Extraction System Assortment and ensure System competitiveness and functionality
• Contribute in the creation of a medium-/long-term aligned innovation strategy for the Automatic Milking System area for the DeLaval Group
• Execute on the innovation strategy
• Contribute to drive growth and %VGM in the System Area
• Responsible for System Area SG&A and product development funding
• Implementation of Digital Service (functionality) into the MES Division
• Manage & develop the Automatic Milking System assortment in terms of quality improvements, product cost-reduction efforts and overall pruning & simplification
• Contribute towards the development of new business models and go-to-market approaches
• Lead the creation of the competence handover (technical, feature & benefit) material for the
System area
• Participate in dialogues with DeLaval commercial teams, dealers and customers
• Be a member of the Milk Extraction System Division Management Team (MES MT)
• Develop, lead & manage the Automatic Milking System team
• Responsible to maintain a safe working environment


Qualifications and experience:


• At least 7 years in international product management roles, of which at least 5 years in leadership positions
• High level of familiarity with the agri/dairy industry
• Multi-company experience
• Documented track-record
• High level of business acumen to drive innovation
• Strong strategic thinking ability with excellent communications skills
• Team player and collaborative personality
• Master degree in science/economics/agriculture or veterinarian


Frequent and regular travel will be needed to be successful in this position. The positon will be part of the Divison MES Management team and will report to VP MES.
