The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. As a System Engineer you are part of a creative team of approximately 100 engineers working with mechanics and electronics.

Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product ranges where electronics is having an increasing impact on our designs. Working towards global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts. You are a part of a functional team that works with the full range from concept studies to product design and refinement of existing products.

Job profile
As a System Engineer you are working as a technical project leader for electronics in the development lifecycle, from concept to production. You are coordinating the HW and SW development in a project. That means you are working towards many interfaces both within Kongsberg Automotive AB but also towards our customers and suppliers regarding electronics. When it comes to design strategies you are working very close with the HW- and SW designers to be able to lay out the complete system architecture for electronics. You are also working close towards the Mechanical Engineers for the complete integration of the electronics towards the mechanics.


Candidate profile
. Bachelor or Master degree in electronics or similar
. Experienced in working in projects.
. Knowledge of and experience in System Design for electronics
. In addition to a solid theoretical knowledge also show applied skills in technology.
. Knowledge from HW-design and SW-design materials are qualifying.
. Team player with a strong drive and a positive attitude.
. Able to work in a structured way, both independently and in a team.
. Committed, self starting, taking responsibility, high focus and interest to improve the day-to-day work.
. Solution and result driven approach.
. Experience from electronics design, preferably from the automotive industry, is desired.
. Experience from ISO 16750, IEC 61508, MISRA, Autosar and ISO 26262 or similar is also valuable.
. Good knowledge of Swedish and English is preferred. Knowledge of other languages such as German, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean is also valued.
