System Engineer

You will be part of Ventyx, an ABB company, in Västerås. We are a young and fast growing business solutions provider offering enterprise software, energy markets data and advisory services. Our technology is also used within segments such as the mining industry as well as oil and gas. Our organization is global, as are our customers. Ventyx?s offerings are market leading and comprise a broad range of solutions to address the most critical needs of utility, power and communications companies, including network management, customer care, energy analytics, energy operations, energy trading & risk management, mobile workforce management, asset management and smart grids. The Västerås unit has 160 employees and is responsible for marketing, sales, engineering, development, delivery and commissioning of products for monitoring and control of power systems.


As our System Engineer at Ventyx you will be part of a successful company with great development possibilities. You will be provided with the opportunity to work with advanced design and programming tasks in a global development and delivery organization where the distance between leading edge developers and end customer are short. Your job will be to develop and maintain our graphical engineering tool that helps our customers to describe and maintain data describing the objects of the power grid and their connectivity. It will be your responsibility to create innovative solutions according to state-of-the-art design rules, manage qualified troubleshooting and support global users.


To suit our team of dedicated system developer you have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with large systems. Apart from this, you hold a university degree within computer engineering along with several years of experience from programming using Oracle and C++ in a Linux and Microsoft environment. Experience in SCADA, EMS or DMS is an advantage. Since you will be working in an international environment with many global contacts you need to be fluent in English as well.
