System Engineer

In the Dairy Management System department, within Milking Systems Engineering we are responsible for developing the Windows based Dairy/Farm management software for our customers globally.To cover the needs from small size family farms to large heavy duty farms, the software has wide range of functions from herd management, personnel and economical management, interface to local software and organizations in the world, to communicating, managing and control real time devices including DeLaval's leading robotic milking system and real time controller as well as plant monitoring function.To help the user with the right decision with today's intensive information from different sensors, data mining and expert system are also essential in the system.

We are now looking for a talented, experienced and self-motivated person for the role of System Engineer in our highly dynamic and creative environment to develop the new generation management system using the modern technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be a key player in the team to develop and deliver robust software with high quality.You will work closely with requirement people, analyze and review the functional requirement; provide creative technical solutions.You will be responsible for certain functions in the system through a full life-cycle of the development process, including implement and unit test the owned features as well as support integration test and field test.You will prepare design specification to other team members, or off site team which will do the implementation; coordinate, follow up the development and verify the delivered functions.You will work with cross function teams to participate in the whole system design activity, e.g., define the interface between the Dairy management system and other systems.

As a team member, you will also participate in the maintenance and support of products of Dairy management and other Windows applications from DeLaval.

Experience and Skills

.University degree or higher in Computer Science, EE or similar discipline.Around 8 years experience in designing and developing enterprise level software, around 5 years experience in Microsoft platform.
.Broad technical experience in several areas like database programming, component technology, e.g., COM/COM+/DCOM, .NET, Network, Client/server system, multi-thread programming and real-time system.Very good at C++, Visual basic, and/or C#; high level knowledge in SQL Server database.

.Good system analysis and design ability with a deep understanding of software engineering principle.Familiar with OOP, design patterns, and UML is preferable.

.Knowledge of Dairy farming, Herd management and milking system is a merit.

.You are a good team player who enjoys working in multiple functions and multiple cultures environment.Good spoken and written English is required.

.You are well organized, self-motivated, with a passion for quality software development.
