System engineer
We are looking for an individual with varied mechanical, controls and automation experience.

Potentially you want to take the next step in your careeer. In this role you will be leading and executing the work in a development project team. The team size variates and consists usually of System engineer, Design lead engineer and Automation lead engineer at minimum. You will be responsible for making sure that all requirements are fulfilled for our projects and be a technical expert to support our sales team in client dialogs. You will work close with the design lead engineer and the automation lead engineer to make sure that the quality is according to customer expectations and Graniten’s best practice.

Background and Skills
To be successful in this role, we want you to have a clear drive and experience of product development. You will need to be comfortable with the ownership of Graniten’s core technology and its quality. You need to have a good understanding of technology and processes for efficient product development. Your background is from product development that includes software (PLC, HMI, Robotics etc) and mechatronics on a system level. You are used to work with international customers and work closely with internal stack holders and external partners and suppliers. We are in the forefront of automation technology development where we drive and deliver future solutions for our customers and therefore it is important that you are up to date with current standards and upcoming technology and trends. As we work with suppliers that can supply us with latest innovations within PLC, robotics and HMI programming, it is important that you have a broad experience of several of these competences and know how interaction is made possible in the most efficient way. Sensors, servo motors and pneumatics are common system solutions used in our products. It is therefore meritorious if you have experience in one or several of these technical areas.


Responsibilities

- System capacity calculations
- System performance calculations
- In dialog with System engineer and Design lead engineer, act to secure quality accuracy
- Is responsible for the quality of the system functions and performance in the project
- Be the technical expert for one or several of Graniten’s products
- Execute tasks in projects
- Technical documentation
- Risk analysis
- Understand and interpret requirements
- Use Graniten’s standards and best practice
- Maintain Graniten best practice
- Responsible for interface documents
- Working directly with product owners and project manager to development projects.
- Coordinating project requirements and establishing project scope with project team
- Technical expert support to Sales in customer meetings
- Technically lead the development team as support to project manager and secure that all sub functions meet expected performance
- Act as technical quotation leader to support the quotation process. Providing technical documentation and Resource-Cost-Time calculations
- Ensure that GMP and Graniten’s best practise is fulfilled on system/products
- Lead advanced development projects internal and external
- Interpret URS and PRS as well as other requirements to establish traceability matrix in projects together with Validation engineer
- CE-documentation and risk assessment
- Deliverables according to Graniten’s project process

Personal qualification

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 Years’ experience within product development
- Demonstrated ability to work and lead with highly technical teams, manage multiple tasks and objectives.
- Broad knowledge with automation and mechatronics technology
- Problem-solving and client service orientation
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with internal team members and external clients
- Team player who embraces responsibility and wants to be part of a winning team
