We are now looking for a System Engineer - CAD doors
Our mission is to provide electric-powered and fully autonomous vehicles with a connected user interface; a mobility solution for smart and sustainable cities.
The self-driving vehicle Sango is the centerpiece of the system.
You will be part of a team which focus is to develop state of the art Body structures and Closure systems for our vehicles. We need your competence to develop our next generation side doors from concept phase to industrialization.
We are searching for a System Engineer - CAD doors, with a broad competence background. You have good technical skills and can work with several side doors system components. You will have great opportunities to influence our future solutions and we will ensure that you will have opportunities to grow and take on new challenges!
You will:
- Be the responsible system design leader for side doors from concept phase to industrialization and implementation in production
- Benchmark latest side door systems available in the market
- Develop different side door system concepts and go through concept selection process
- Create sections and establish interfaces with surrounding system based on chosen concept
- Make detailed design for complete side door system using advance knowledge of innovative materials with appropriate joining methods and manufacturing processes to be able to achieve high closing performances on both system and vehicle level
- Consider limitations imposed by regulations, quality, safety, weight and cost
- Work together with CAE team interpreting and using analysis results to optimize the systems performance
- Be the responsible contact person towards suppliers
- Work together with manufacturing to ensure that the side door system geometry and feasibility requirements are fulfilled
- Propose and support tests to prove out the side door design and the function
Your background includes:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experiences in side door system
- Very good experience of CAD modelling and 3D PMI in NX
- Experience in Teamcenter
- Skills in coaching, leading and inspiring others
- Good communication skill in English (both verbally and written)
- Driver license for vehicle
