System Engineer- early career

How will you make an impact?
Would you like to contribute to world-class allergy solutions and work with innovative systems? In this role, you will get the chance to help our customers worldwide in their work to diagnose allergy and autoimmune diseases.
As a System Engineer, you will get the opportunity to work directly in the "Center of Excellence" of the world-class analyzers and be part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) team.
In this role, You will have a chance to take the lead in system engineering and be responsible for the overall system design and technical aspects. This is an excellent opportunity for you who would like to have a new career opportunity and change from software development or equal background to systems engineering.
It is enough with limited experience from system engineering and an opportunity to learn more.
The System Design team is responsible for understanding the customer/marketing requirements and translate them into system requirements. The team works side-by-side with other sections as hardware, software, and verification teams to set the right level of needs. In addition, the group is responsible for risk management, product life cycle plans, and product development processes. The section consists of 11 team members in total, an innovative multi-disciplinary team with good collaboration.

What will you do?
In the role of Systems Engineer, you will have the overall system and technical responsibility for the development of new and existing analysis systems. You will also initiate development work that ensures that the designs are competitive by meeting the current and future needs of our customers and requirements from regulatory authorities.
You will work with system definition, concept development, and system design throughout the product life cycle to distribute requirements and work closely with the other departments as hardware and main focus on software development.
How will you get there?
Master's degree from relevant life science discipline, e.g., Biotechnology, Software, Electronics or equal
Some experience in system specification with a focus on software requirements or some software development experience
Some experience in planning, lead and report technical activities and sub-projects
Good problem-solving ability with proven analytical skills
Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
Swedish and English as working language
