The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Car Group. Sub-system as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.

We are now looking for a System Engineer to our group Electric Drive SW development. The group is responsible for SW development within the Electric Drives system together with supplier. The group also work closely together with SW in-house development teams in a parallel group.

Main responsibilities

* Lead architectural and system design of Electric Drives controls, system safety and diagnostic functions
* System analysis in torque and electrical domains, functional interfaces, attributes and trade-offs
* Requirement engineering relative to El Drives controls and attributes such as performance, efficiency, electrical and thermal requirements
* Utilize Team Center and Elektra structured workflow and tool chain
* Quality disciplines such as SFMEA and Robust Engineering
* Design reviews; internal and with suppliers
* Review verification methods and participate in test and calibration activities
* Support operational development and methods

Required qualifications

* University degree within controls and SW engineering or equivalent competence
* A couple of years relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and model based controls system
* Competence within System design, Electric drives (Inverters, Electric machines, controls) SFMEA, ISO26262 and diagnostics
* Good English skills, verbally and in writing
* Driver license, B
