We are now looking for a System Engineer for Steering
YOUR TEAM

To strengthen our team for upcoming and exciting challenges of providing state of the art solutions that will meet the requirements for the next generation of fully electric and autonomous vehicles, we are now looking for an experienced System Engineer for Steering.

You will be part of the Chapter Vehicle Motion & Dynamics HW Engineering within the Tribe Mechanical Hardware Engineering at NEVS. We focus on the technology frontline development of a wide range of systems within Chassis, Powertrain and Thermal. You will be part of a creative and inspiring team that like to take on challenges and find new ways to work and improve.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead and take responsibility for the development of existing and future products within the Steering System area from conceptual to industrialization phase.
- Identifying and keep track of upcoming trends and technical findings within the steering system field.
- Definition and follow up on requirements for both system and component level in collaboration with team members and other areas of the company.
- Definition and evaluation of future Steering concepts with “by wire” and autonomous driving -technologies in focus.
- Work in close collaboration with engineers from development of Mechanical, Electrical and Software areas.
- Have a natural part within the agile team supporting and contributing to the team’s daily work.
- Support our purchasing department in technical discussions and act as the technical contact person within the Mechanical Hardware area for the Steering System to suppliers.
- Support functional safety engineers in the analysis of the HARA and breakdown of safety goals to safety concept and technical safety requirement.

 

WHO YOU ARE

- Successfully completed Bachelor of Science or higher degree
- More than 5 years of experiences from Automotive Industry or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience from working as System Engineer within Hardware development.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in working with Steering systems for Automotive.
- Good knowledge and understanding of steering systems for Automotive Industry.
- Good knowledge and understanding of mechatronic systems, preferably within automotive steering systems.
- Ability to share her or his expertise to colleagues
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
- Believe in our future products.
- A team player, action oriented, innovative and flexible
