System Engineer for target system design

We are looking for a System Engineer who will, for one or a few sub-systems of the Target Station, specify, control and check the preliminary design and detailed design that will be performed by the collaborative teams.His/her role is, for different sub systems of the Target Station and in an iterative manner, to develop the technical design report of these systems, to define their functional requirements, to define the necessary studies and validate them.His/her role is then to manage the technical discussions within the project team, in order to: .[ [ integrate the interfaces with the other Target Station systems, .[[[ interact with the CAD office and different technical specialists (neutronic simulation, fluid [[[ dynamic simulation, thermo-mechanical simulation), .[[[ integrate the safety constraints in the design and interact with the licensing team to determine [[[ the margins to be taken on the systems and occasionally, to define additional safety systems or [[[ functions, .[[[ estimate and optimise costs and planning, .[[[ interface with other divisions (Accelerator, Instruments and Conventional facilities). The different sub-systems of the Target Station are potentially the following: .[[[ liquid metal loops, water cooling loops, Helium cooling loops, cryogenic loops, .[[[ remote handling systems for irradiate components, .[[[ hot cells for operation (maintenance and dismantling) of activated mechanical systems .[[[ ancillaries for nuclear facilities: ventilation, confinement, gaseous effluents, handling systems.Qualifications/prerequisites The candidate will have the following background: .[[[ university degree, or higher, in engineering .[[[ expertise in nuclear system as part of a nuclear facility .[[[ knowledge about nuclear facilities environment, in particular nuclear engineering standards[[[[ [[[ (ASME, RCC etc.) and safety constraints .[[[ experience in project management of similar technical systems .[[[ experience in mechanical component manufacturing is desirable .[[[ ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team .[[[ motivation to work with tight schedules and with challenging technical constraints .[[[ experience of working in an international environment is essential .[[[ excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European[[[[[[[ [[[ languages would be an advantage Description of department Currently, the Target Station Division is composed of nine people and will expand up to around 20 in the next two years.
