System Engineer- Front End Engineering

SYSTEMS ENGINEER, Front End Engineer 

Siemens Energy are recruiting an engineer to join the Gas Turbine Systems Team within Front End Engineering; a new global department within the Customer Order Engineering, Turbomachinery Business segment. This exciting role Is suitable for an engineer with knowledge of Gas Turbines, package equipment and will have experience in applying this knowledge to meet customer requirements. The Engineer will support Proposal Management with engineering activities including scope configuration, review of technical specification and support with customer technical queries. Previous experience within gas turbine proposals, customer order engineering or product line engineering is desirable.

Your profile

* Bachelors of Science Degree in an Engineering subject area or related field
* Proven knowledge in the product-structure, design, calculation, and specification of Siemens Energy application field – Gas Turbines (Small, Medium, or Aeroderivative) for power generation and mechanical drives
* Experience in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas and other Process Industry applications
* Cost out and development experience for gas turbine, including related Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier costs
* Experience with the application of API 616 Gas Turbines for Petroleum, Chemical, and Gas Industry Services, offshore installations, and hazardous areas
* Experience with applying gas turbine specifications from major oil and gas operators, specifically in the areas of fuel pretreatment and conditioning skids, gas detection and fire suppression systems, waste-heat recovery units, and acoustic enclosures / air intake and ventilation filter systems

Your responsibilities

* Review and comment on technical specifications received from clients for rotating equipment proposals
* Request and review sub-supplier quotations, ensuring their scope meets customer requirements.
* Develop cost estimates for proposals considering all relevant partners, such as Customer Order and Product Line Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Procurement.
* Work and coordinate configurations across multiple engineering platforms and locations and deliver a unified engineering solution for a project.
* Contribute technical support on relevant topics during tender clarification meetings with customers.
* Innovate, creatively apply lessons learned, and implement efficient solutions for proposal support, requirements management, and order-handover, that prevent non-conformances during Project Execution
* Support measures that yield year-on-year Engineering cost-productivity benefits in both Proposal and Project Execution phases
