System engineer requirement and product structure within Energy Storage System @ Electromobility

We are responsible for the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. We develop and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
To the ESS ( Energy Storage System) section we now recruiting a System Engineer to the ESS strategy and Platform group responsible for requirements and product structure.
We are responsible to develop complete ESS functionality realized by HW and SW solutions. You will be part of an agile and approachable organization with skilled product teams consisting of passionate people. What will you do?
Taking the design of ESS inhouse there is a lot of challenges concerning product structure/documentation and requirement management. You will be working on ESS platform level and be the expertise in these areas. You will be responsible identify tools and methods that we need to work with and securing a common way of working in the ESS organization that are in line with the rest of the EMOB organization. You need to support system engineers and product owners in how to document requirements and products. As the ESS representative you will be involved in studies ongoing and sometimes taking the lead of necessary changes.

We believe that to be successful in this position, you are a pragmatic team player that loves to develop System designs with the customer in focus. Since the area is in an early phase, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment. You have a broad knowledge and experience in system engineering including Electrical, Mechanical and functional development. We believe you need to have solid experience in Volvo toolchain and processes regarding requirement and product documentation/logic such as KOLA, Dim RM, SE Tool etc.
Master of Science in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
6 years’ experience from quality and system engineering within automotive systems.
Solid experience in Volvo’s tool chain and processes for requirement and product documentation/logic
Experience from working with Dimensions RM, SE Tool/System Weaver, KOLA
Proven record of excellent communication and presentation skills
It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following: Experience within Energy Storage Systems. Agile Principals and methods.
