System Engineer - RFID Systems

This position is open immediately in Gothenburg, Sweden.

First of all, what is RFID? If you are reading this you might have a hunch. RFID systems consist of RFID tags, RFID readers and middleware, which we set up to our customers industrial environments. Our systems are mainly used for logistics automation and asset tracking.

Our systems engineers are hands on responsible for development, testing and on-site implementation of RFID systems including the hardware and software. Our software development is centralized to HQ Finland, but in an engineering position it is useful to have basic programming skills. As a system engineer you can also be responsible for smaller projects – so you have the end-to-end responsibility of the entire delivery.

In the software components on the readers and reader clients you’re going to encounter:

- Linux and Windows CE environments / embedded variants
- Basic networking (LAN, GSM WAN, WLAN)
- We will teach you the RFID (Radio frequency part, standards and protocols) side of things

We appreciate:

- Languages: native Swedish and business English. German, Finnish and French are a plus
- A background in electrical engineering with automation or IT focus
- Understanding of the theoretical basics of radio technology and telecommunications
- Drivers license
- Hands on attitude and interest in gadgets
- If you like factories and big logistics processes – you will see quite a bunch of those

We provide

- Relaxed atmosphere of a small but international company
- Small and dynamic team in Gothenburg
- A position in which you see what you have created and can be proud of it
- Enough challenges and responsibilities to match your skills and capabilities
- Good opportunities for personal and career development as the company keeps growing
- Competitive compensation
- Flexible working hours
