Right now we are looking for a System Engineer to our Operator environment Haulers and Wheel loaders team. The position is for the Thermal management systems, both the HVAC (heating, ventilation & cooling) for our cab as well the active cooling for electromobility (batteries, fuel cells etc.), you will act as a global engineer, working with the system functionality for both SW and the electrical components. You will be a key player in our journey to reach our scienced based targets.

What will you do?
As a system engineer you will be responsible for the Volvo CE system functionality within our Thermal Management system for our new electric machines and our conventional machines. You and the team will define the use cases together, break it down to requirements and set the system architecture together with all stakeholders to provide a scalable, global and easy-to-maintain solution. In addition to providing the technical solutions you will also take part in pre-studies, demos and strategic choices.
The aim is to produce design solutions that balance technical performance, manufacturability and material cost, to ensure that the product will be profitable for Volvo CE, and that we are considered as the No 1 choice by our customers.


What do you bring with you?
You are a true team player who can work individually and have a natural understanding of the customer needs. You are a solution-oriented person with the ability to see the bigger picture. You have experience from embedded system design and system engineering. You have experience from different kind of engineering tools for mechatronics and system development such as calibration tools, SW development tools etc.
What you don’t know today, you are eager and willing to learn. To be successful in this role you need to be a good communicator and have the ability to work cross functional and in multicultural teams.


Who are you?
You have a structured approach and are used to work as a part of a team, responsible for your deliveries. Challenges is considered as opportunities, and you also enjoy working together with people.
Preferably M.Sc or B.Sc in a suitable area such as Software engineering , mechatronics, system engineering or similar.
